Don-2  Reviews

Don 2 was a decent action flick which can be watched once only if you are a die-hard fan of Sharukh Khan. It is best enjoyed if you would not have much expectations. The sequel starts off where it was left in the first part. Don surrenders himself to the police only to plan a bank robbery and capture the European market after conquering the Asian underworld. After a debacle called RA.ONE , Sharukh Khan finally had made some effort to make sure his fans stays loyal to him. The sequel is much more stylish with well executed action sequences and amazing cinematography. Farhan Akhtar is much more better in handling urban centric flicks rather than directing the action movies. Like Don , Don 2 falls flat in terms of direction and screenplay. The movie is entertaining in the first half but fizzles out in the 2nd half. The bank robbery scenes could have executed efficiently. It was not explained clearly why Priyanka Chopra had a change of heart after Don started assisting her in the hostage rescue operation. Similarly, the bank robbery was shown as a piece of cake. Despite its shortcomings, the movie entertains from the beginning with stylish car chases , nice fight sequences especially in the climax and decent performances. The music is a big disappointment considering it was given the Shankar-Eshan-Loy. As I mentioned , the cinematography was eye-catching capturing the picturesque view of different parts of world. So , overall , I thought it was decent thriller with nothing new to offer. You will watch it and forget it. Above average – 2.5 /5
